November 10, 2011: Deb’s Place launches across all-media.

Deb’s Place, a tv series aimed at women 35-50 years, successfully launched as an all-media production incorporating television, online, radio and print.  The television and DVD series was received with much praise and at the time of launch, extended television segments and exclusive online content is live www.debsplace.tv, an article written by Debbie Gould is published in Eternity newspaper, and Debbie is to be a special guest on a national radio program, Open House with Leigh Hatcher.  The successful all-media launch is a sign of things to come from Pineapple Media, as we continue to look for international exposure for the series.


October 18, 2011: We are on the road again ... for the Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Centre.

This time we’re heading 800kms inland from Sydney to Bourke in NSW.  On the back of the internationally recognised ‘Street Shot’ video produced for the Hepatitis C Council of NSW last year, and our experience around Australia filming Outback Skies, we have been asked to hit the road to produce a promotional video for the Aboriginal Health and Medical Centre to encourage Aboriginal School students to consider a career in the health care industry ... in their local communities.  It’s a great initiative and one we are proud to support.


September 15, 2011: Pineapple Media to produce a half hour Christmas Day Television Special for Channel 7.

In true Pineapple Media style, we will be hitting the road again ... this time in country NSW with three cameras (and our running shoes) to follow 40 bike riders on a 1000km ride in 9 days as they raise money for charity.  The half hour television special, with a working title of ‘Riding for a Cause’ will air on Channel 7 on Christmas Day.  The program will be shot over two weeks with one additional day scheduled during post production.


August 1, 2011: Pineapple Media moves into ‘The Media Space’.

We have moved into our very own office facility (that we are calling ‘The Media Space’) at St Leonards in Sydney.  Through ‘The Media Space’, we will own and operate two HD edit suites, a radio/voice over facility and run our projects.  We will also hire the facility to other production companies, much in the same way we do our Production Services.  This is a positive move and a big step for Pineapple Media, as we are now based in the heart of Sydney’s television and creative production precinct.


July 20, 2011: Pineapple Media wins the race to production manage a new Australian Gameshow.

Pineapple Media was approached by an independent television creative company to manage the production of their very first television gameshow.  There is an A-list team of Australia’s best gameshow producers, crew and talent coming together, and we beat other, more established, companies for the job of ensuring the pilot is delivered on spec, on time and on budget.


June 30, 2011: Pineapple Media to expand to St Leonards with plans to develop ‘The Media Space’.

On the back of many successes in the past few years, we have purchased an office facility in St Leonards in Sydney.  This will expand our capacity to provide A-list productions with A-list production services and facilities.  As of August 2011, we will be working from our new headquarters at ‘The Media Space’ with two HD edit suites, a professional radio/voice over facility, a plush meeting room and enough office space to handle just about any production. We are thankful for the growth, and are looking forward to opportunities to come.


May 11, 2011: Pineapple Media sets off to the UK.

After months of pre-production, we have set off to the UK to produce a one hour historical documentary.  The 16 day shoot will cover over 2200 kilometres of driving through the English countryside, villages, towns and cities.  We will film at some classic locations including historical Abbey’s and Churches, Oxford University, the southern coastline of Cornwall, and in the heart of London.


March 15, 2011: Easter Sunrise Service a roaring success for Channel 7 ... again!

After the success of the 2010 Easter Sunrise Service, we were given the challenge to deliver a program that was bigger and better than last year.  With Stan Walker and the Melbourne Gospel Choir as headline talent, we delivered more viewers to Channel 7 in the history of the program, and simulcast on radio into every major capital city in Australia.  We are proud to work with Channel 7, the Sydney Opera House and Wesley Mission to make this program an ongoing success.


Feb 5, 2011: Featured guests and locations announced for UK Documentary.

While in the UK, we will film at Oxford University and Christ Church Cathedral in Oxford, Teesdale and Epworth in the north of England, Polperro and Truro in Cornwall, and at Parliament Square and Westminster in London.  We will interview the principal of Harris Manchester College, a Lord in the British Parliament, and senior figures in the Methodist Church worldwide, including an advisor to Nelson Mandella.


Dec 10, 2010: Pineapple Media returns to produce the 2011 Easter Sunrise Service from the Sydney Opera House for Channel 7.

Building on the success of the past few Easter Sunrise Service broadcasts from the Sydney Opera House, Pineapple Media has been selected to produce the 2011 Easter Sunrise Service.  Featured talent include Australian Idol Winner, Stan Walker, and the Melbourne Gospel Choir.  The Service will also be simulcast in every capital city in Australia LIVE on Easter morning.  We are looking forward to be best Easter Sunrise Service yet.


Oct 20, 2010: Pineapple Media hits the road driving from Perth to Sydney.

After 2 months of filming Outback Skies along the top half of Australia, we are taking the production to a whole new level.  For the next 5 weeks, our crew will travel every day from Perth to Sydney with Steve Grace and his team.  We have had some good international interest in the series, and are looking forward to some great success stories over the next few years.


Sept 10, 2010: Pineapple Media is selected to produce a one hour historical documentary in the UK.

We are proud of our association with Wesley Mission in Sydney, and have been selected to produce a one hour feature documentary on the life and influence of John Wesley.  For 16 days in May 2011, Richard Attieh will lead a 7 person team travelling some 2000kms around England telling the story of one man whose influence is still recognised today in religion, politics, social justice and education.


July 20, 2010: Filming Starts on Outback Skies.

After an abbreviated pre-production phase for this travel series around Australia, we have began filming with local crew and talent in Queensland.  We will spend 10 days on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland before heading up to Bundaberg and Hervey Bay in late August.


June 15, 2010: Pre-Production Starts on Outback Skies

We are embarking on our biggest self-originated production yet, travel series that captures the heart, soul and spirit of Australia.  Filming starts on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland in late July, 2010.


May 20, 2010: Deb’s Place in Post Production.

After a rigorous studio shoot and location filming in Queensland and Victoria, we have began editing Deb’s Place - a series of 6 x 30 minute television programs, DVD series and online webisodes,.  Watch this space.


April 15, 2010: Pineapple Media announces ‘Outback Skies’.

We’re working with Australia’s leading Country Gospel Artist, Steve Grace, on ‘Outback Skies’ - a cross between Terry Pratchet, Ewan McGregor’s ‘Long Way Round’ and Baz Luhrmann’s ‘Australia’.  The travel series will start in August 2010 and cover a 21 000km road trip around mainland Australia.  We’ll hit all of the hot spots, meet the locals in outback towns, and check in on over 75 concerts in every state and territory, in cities and country towns, in churches and performance halls, and under the outback stars.

We will produce a raft of programs including a feature documentary, an Australian travel series, an interstitial Children‘s series and a series of online videos and radio programs.


April 4, 2010: Easter Sunrise Service is a roaring success for Channel 7.

The Northern Foyer of the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House was packed to capacity for the Easter Sunrise Service 2010, and a television, radio and online audience enjoyed the live performances from Debra Byrne, Steve Grace and Steve McPherson.  The program was simulcast on over 250 radio stations around Australia.  We are proud to be a part of such an integral part of Channel 7’s Easter morning line up.


March 15, 2010: Pineapple Media delivers a half hour Easter documentary to Channel 7.

We were selected by our client to reversion a half hour Easter Documentary to Channel 7 entitled ‘Made in China: The Bible’.  The documentary is about the production of bibles in China, and went to air on Good Friday at 12.30pm to a national audience of over 150 000 viewers.  Not bad for a branded program!


Feb 15, 2010: Pineapple Media is selected for an international film festival in Liverpool, UK.

A short film we produced for the Hepatitis C Council of NSW in 2009 called ‘Street Shot’ has been selected from over 65 entries from around the world to be screened at the 7th International Drugs and Harm Reduction Film Festival in Liverpool, UK, as part of the International Harm Reduction Association’s 21st International Conference.  We are proud to work with and support the Hepatitis C Council of NSW, and are pleased to see their work is being recognised on an international stage.  To view the winning film, click here and view the third video from the top.


Jan 22, 2010: Pineapple Media to produce the Easter Sunrise Service from the Sydney Opera House for Channel 7.

After the roaring success of the 2009 Easter Sunrise Service, Pineapple Media has been called back to produce the 2010 Easter Sunrise Service for Wesley Mission Sydney, telecast live to a national audience on Channel 7 and simulcast on more than 30 metropolitan and rural radio stations around Australia.  The Easter morning celebration will include performances by Debra Byrne, Steve Grace and Steve McPherson.


Jan 16, 2010: Pineapple Media sells ‘Murder in America’ to the Crime Investigation Channel on Foxtel in Australia and New Zealand.

Pineapple Media has landed its first distribution sale for Award Winning US Production Company, Moon Lake Films, in the Australian and New Zealand markets.  The first instalment of ‘Murder in America: The Sarah Cherry Story’ revisits the investigation and the events surrounding the murder of 12 year old Sarah Cherry in Maine, USA ... some 20 years after the event.  ‘Murder’ is a natural fit for the CI Channel, and we are looking to grow our distribution slate. Nov 11, 2009: Pineapple Media to produce ‘Deb’s Place’ Series 1.

The pilot in May 2009 proved to be a winner, and we’re now in pre-production for a 6 x 30 minute series.  We’ll develop on the the pilot, and produce a true 360 media product for audiences in Australia and abroad.

Nov 2, 2009: Pineapple Media to attend SPAA.

Our Head of Production will attend the annual SPAA conference in Sydney this month.  This is our second time at SPAA.  Our agenda this year is to network with key influencers in Australia’s television industry.  Like last year, we’re excited about the opportunities this will present for us and our friends.


Oct 15, 2009: Pineapple Media to work with Tim Harding (formerly from Hi 5).

Continuing to work with established television personalities, Pineapple Media has secured Tim Harding to present a child safety program for ChildSafe.


Sept 28, 2009: Pineapple Media and UK based Broadcast Graphics and Control (BG&C) announce a partnership.

Since our time in the UK, we’ve kept in touch with one of the UK’s most prolific producers of on-screen graphics and control systems for television graphics.  In a great coup or us, BG&C have agreed to partner with us to produce two of our original gameshow concepts - Accumulator and Block Work.


Aug 17, 2009: Pineapple Media develops a branded tv show around coffee and music.

Pineapple Media has continued to grow its slate of original television formats, and has developed a brand new television program that marries coffee and music.  Contact us to find out more.


July 2, 2009: Pineapple Media films with Leigh Hatcher at Silverwater Prison in Sydney.

As part of our ongoing work with television professionals, Pineapple Media will film segments with television news veteran, Leigh Hatcher, in Silverwater Prison for an inmate training program designed to help inmates re-integrate into society.


May 26, 2009: Pineapple Media to produce ‘Deb’s Place’ pilot.

Pineapple Media has been commissioned to produce a pilot episode for a 30 minute studio based TV program with the working title ‘Deb’s Place’.  Hosted by Debbie Gould, the program will deal with topics relevant to women between 35-50 years.


April 14, 2009: Pineapple Media to distribute ‘Murder in America’ in Australia and New Zealand.

In an exclusive deal with award winning US based production company, Moon Lake Films, Pineapple Media will handle the distribution of the first investigative documentary instalment of the ‘Murder in America’ series.  The Sarah Cherry story revisits the investigation and the events surrounding the murder of 12 year old Sarah Cherry in Maine, USA ... some 20 years after the event.  The documentary revisits the people involved in the original case, and recounts the events, uncovering new insight into the investigation.


March 16, 2009: Pineapple Media to produce Easter Sunrise Service from the Sydney Opera House for Channel 7.

In a wonderful ongoing relationship, Pineapple Media will produce the 2009 Easter Sunrise Service for Wesley Mission Sydney, telecast live to a national audience on Channel 7 and simulcast on seven major metropolitan radio stations in capital cities around Australia.  The Easter morning celebration will include performances by internationally recognised performers Marina Prior (currently in the Australian production of ‘Guys and Dolls’), Darlene Zschech and Daniel Kay.


Jan 12, 2009: Pineapple Media expands to North Sydney and has a television and radio studio in house.

After a fantastic year of growth in 2008, we’ve moved to North Sydney and now have a television studio and radio broadcast facility available at its fingertips.  We’re excited about the move and are looking forward to offering more to our corporate and freelance clients, as well as developing some of our own projects.  Broadcasters, get ready for a flurry of concept reels to accompany our pitches!


Dec 20, 2008: Pineapple Media completes a tv series for

Channel 9.

Pineapple Media has completed a 12 x 30min ‘Summer Series’ for Wesley Mission Sydney branded tv programs ‘Rise & Shine’.  The series will air on Channel 9 from December 27, 2008 until February 2009.


Nov 10, 2008: Pineapple Media to attend SPAA.

Oct 16, 2008: Pineapple Media secures SPAK TV.

One of our original concepts, SPAK TV, has gained momentum, and we will be producing a pilot in January 2009.  In the meantime, we are working to secure strategic relationships to  ensure the series will be a success.


July 10, 2008: Pineapple Media praises Blueprint Law.

We took the decision to employ Blueprint Law to help us with contractual negotiations with an independent production company.  We found Blueprint to be top notch, and are looking forward to the next project.


March 2, 2008: Pineapple Media announces documentary focus.

Pineapple Media announces its intention to produce a documentary looking at three historical events that changed the psyche of Australians.  We are keen to develop a strategic relationship with a key not-for-profit based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
